APAE is a non-profit Civil Society Organization that promotes the diagnosis, prevention and inclusion of people with intellectual disability, producing and disseminating knowledge. It steps in from birth until they age, fostering the development of skills and capabilities that favor schooling and supported employment, as well as offering legal advice to families about the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.

Through the cultural project “Back to Fairy Tales” Solito Alimentos and some other companies finance the acquisition of materials for capoeira and percussion workshops that benefit the students supported by APAE.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hospital of Love – BARRETOS CANCER HOSPITAL

Solito supports the various activities of the hospital (which was recognized in 2014 and signed the adhesion term “Friend of the Elderly Hospital”, a program from the State Government).

In addition to oncological treatment, the hospital offers activities for patients and caregivers with the “Support Project”, which includes lodging (all services included in a hotel: laundry, linen room etc.), free meals during treatment and also in the patients caregivers’ homes. Occupational therapy activities are also developed to provide the patients the possibility of recovering meaningful activities and greater autonomy (whether they are activities of daily life, leisure or distraction).

The support also encompasses social and recreational activities with patients and caregivers, such as the provision of breakfast for patients, companions and staff, with the goal of integrating and socializing. In addition, it provides medical services in the specialties of radiology, nuclear medicine, medical clinic, pathology, intensive medicine, palliative care, infectology, clinical oncology and oncological surgery.

It is an institution with vocation to provide humanized care to patients in need and that deserves the active support of Solito Alimentos, cooperating with health of the country.
